Iran will raise the gasoline price for consumers using more than 110 liters per month, effective Tuesday, government spokesman Mohajerani said. First- and second-tier quotas, including the 110‑liter band, will remain unchanged; the third-tier price will increase to 100,000 Iranian rials per liter (about $0.04 at the free-market exchange rate). Mohajerani said the adjustment, driven by the “current situation” including the war and US sanctions, will only affect monthly users above 110 liters. Other motorists can still buy up to 60 liters at 15,000 rials/liter and an additional 50 liters at 30,000 rials/liter. Iran’s gasoline remains among the cheapest globally; authorities previously delayed hikes over fears of sparking protests after 2019 unrest.
