Security Council after inspectors said they cannot account for the whereabouts
of Iran's near‑weapons‑grade uranium stocks. The move is expected to be tabled
at this week's IAEA Board meeting in Vienna. Since Israel's June 2025 airstrike,
Iran has denied IAEA access to its uranium stocks for 15 months, according to a
two‑page U.S. draft resolution that calls on Iran to urgently remedy
non‑compliance and permit inspections to ensure nuclear material has not been
diverted. The last U.S. referral was followed within 24 hours by an Israeli
strike that triggered a 12‑day war; the current round of hostilities began Feb.
