China A-share steel sector climbed amid volatility; Hesteel Resources, Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes and Anyang Iron & Steel each rose more than 4%, with Fushun Special Steel, Benxi Steel Plate and Jiugang Hongxing also advancing.

Omdia data show global XR headset shipments fell 38.7% YoY to 1.9 mln units in 1H 2026. Adoption of XR glasses is increasing, but their small market base was insufficient to offset the headsets’ decline.

China Construction Machinery Industry Association said August sales of all excavator types totaled 19,716 units, +19.3% YoY. Domestic sales were 7,986 units (including 184 electric excavators), +3.92% YoY; exports were 11,730 units (including 60 electric excavators), +32.7% YoY. Jan-Aug cumulative sales totaled 191,557 units, +24.2% YoY; domestic 94,619 units (including 411 electric), +17.4% YoY; exports 96,938 units (including 257 electric), +31.8% YoY.
