Sept. 7 — At a regular briefing, China's foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said China remains committed to maintaining peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific and urged relevant parties to act constructively, responding to comments from the Philippine defense minister on US‑South Korea military exercises.

At midday close, China’s main futures contracts traded mixed. Synthetic rubber rose over 4%, 20# rubber nearly 3%; eggs, SC crude, bitumen and natural rubber gained more than 2%; low‑sulfur fuel oil (LU) was up about 2%. On the downside, silicomanganese and ferrosilicon fell over 4%, lithium carbonate dropped over 3%; coking coal, coke, Shanghai gold and Shanghai silver declined more than 2%, and polysilicon slipped about 2%.
