ING chief economist Marieke Blom said a consumer survey found 38% of Europeans prefer investing in Europe versus 14% who prefer the US. She noted that despite widespread negative sentiment on the European economic outlook, many still favor home-market allocations. Blom said more flows into European equities would help support regional valuations and draw capital into private companies. The Stoxx Europe 600 is up 9.6% YTD; the S&P 500 is up about 13%.

Organizers said the 2027 Shanghai Auto Show will run April 23–May 2, 2027, with about 400,000 sqm of exhibition space. The event will explore multiple frontier tracks and introduce a dedicated embodied-intelligence zone, highlighting physical AI, high-end chips and other application scenarios for smart-vehicle technologies to broaden product definitions, technical architectures and the industry landscape, and to accelerate the auto sector’s shift from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing.
