China's foreign minister Wang Yi met Qatar's prime minister and foreign minister
Mohammed in Beijing on Aug. 8. They agreed to consolidate and expand cooperation
in traditional energy and new energy, and to strengthen investment,
high‑technology and people‑to‑people exchanges; China expressed willingness to
maintain communication and coordination with Qatar on international and regional
affairs, and the two sides exchanged in‑depth views on the situation in the
Gulf.
