ASML began construction on a second major production campus in the Netherlands
on Tuesday to keep pace with rising AI-driven demand. The investment will
ultimately provide space for up to 20,000 additional on-site workers; phase one
is targeted for completion in 2029 and will add offices, logistics and cleanroom
capacity for specialized equipment manufacture. ASML said a new "mobile factory"
design will enable faster, more efficient construction and assembly of its giant
lithography systems.
