Sept. 8, Beijing — The APEC Energy Working Group held its 72nd meeting in
Beijing. Wang Jianbo, vice administrator of the National Energy Administration,
said China is hosting a series of APEC “China Year” energy events intended not
as a unilateral showcase but as a multilateral dialogue platform for economies
to share practices and learn from one another. He urged economies, in a spirit
of seeking common ground while respecting differences, to candidly exchange
views and build policy consensus to address adjustments in the global energy
landscape and technology-driven shifts affecting Asia‑Pacific development.
