Sept 5-8 — Liu Haixing, minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a party delegation to Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. In Uzbekistan he met President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and leaders of the Senate, legislature and ruling party; in Azerbaijan he met Prime Minister Ali Asadov and New Azerbaijan Party deputy chairman Bahram Budagov. He participated in a Central Asia session on Xi Jinping Thought, a China–Central Asia party dialogue, and attended the opening of a China Study Center and China Book House at the Azerbaijani Presidential Administrative Academy. The visits promoted Xi Jinping Thought and involved exchanges on issues of mutual concern.
