MacRumors reports Apple’s 2026 foldable iPhone, reportedly named iPhone Ultra,
will use a ~5.5‑inch external OLED for folded use and a ~7.8‑inch internal OLED
when open. The unfolded device will be wider than tall and may measure about
4.5mm thick when open; folded thickness is said to be roughly 9mm, close to the
8.75mm of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Limited internal space reportedly precludes the
TrueDepth Face ID system; Apple would switch to Touch ID embedded in the side
power button. Both outer and inner displays are expected to include front‑facing
cameras, but the device reportedly will not include a triple rear camera system
and will lack a dedicated telephoto lens.
