Kremlin says Hungary's expulsion of Russian diplomats will affect bilateral relations.

Russia's oil and gas receipts in the federal budget were about 5.02 tln rubles (~$58.4bn at 86 rub/$) in Jan–Aug, down 16.7% YoY, the finance ministry said in preliminary budget execution estimates on Sept. 9. The ministry cited a drop in the dollar exchange rate and weaker oil prices in Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 as key drivers. It said it would use the National Wealth Fund to plug the shortfall and accumulate extra receipts during favourable price periods to stabilise the budget amid oil‑and‑gas revenue volatility. Total federal budget revenue was about 25.93 tln rubles, up 9.2% YoY, with non‑oil‑and‑gas revenue roughly 20.91 tln rubles, up 18.1%.
