New Apple CEO John Ternus will make his public debut at the product event, his first opportunity to present strategic direction. Reported pricing: Apple plans to raise iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max prices by about $100 each, after taking measures to offset higher chip costs. Apple’s first foldable, reportedly named iPhone Duo, would start at $2,000 for a 256GB base model with higher-capacity variants up to roughly $3,000; availability as early as October and offered in white and deep blue. iPhone 18 Pro line will largely retain iPhone 17 Pro styling but adds new lenses and pro-grade imaging software, a smaller Dynamic Island, A20 Pro chipset, a redesigned vapor chamber for better thermal control, and a mechanical aperture on larger models to improve low-light and depth control. Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 will get new colorways; Series 12 will reintroduce a ceramic case and Ultra 4 will offer longer battery life. Apple plans an entry-level AirPods 5 with substantially upgraded active noise cancellation. Additional rumored launches include a Home hub for smart-home control, a faster-processor Apple TV and new HomePod mini, plus expected formal release dates for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, tvOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27. Items reportedly delayed or not launching at this event: standard iPhone 18 pushed to next spring; in-ear AirPods deferred to next year; MacBook Pro with M6 and a new iMac possible before year-end; OLED-touch MacBook Pro late this year or early next; OLED iPad mini expected by end-October.
