At a Sept. 10 State Council Information Office briefing, CSRC Vice Chairman Li Chao said the regulator will accelerate the development of top-tier investment banks and investment institutions, stressing functional roles and urging firms to focus on core businesses, strengthen governance, pursue differentiated development, enhance comprehensive capabilities and professional services, and cultivate a healthier industry and investment culture.
