PBOC Deputy Governor Lu Lei told a State Council Information Office briefing on Sept. 10 that China has formally released the 15th Five-Year Plan for building a financial power. To implement the plan, the PBOC has issued its own 15th Five-Year reform and development plan and rolled out nine supporting action plans across related sectors.

The White House is considering scaling back the involvement of US envoys Witkoff and Kushner in Russia-Ukraine negotiations, the Financial Times reports.

Tino Chrupalla, co‑leader of Germany's AfD, said the party opposes sending drones to Ukraine that could be used to strike Russian territory, reiterating AfD's long‑standing opposition to shipping weapons to crisis zones and battlefields. He also said any form of sanctions is pointless and has already inflicted major damage on the German economy. Germany is Ukraine's largest backer; since Feb. 24, 2022 German support to Kyiv has exceeded €100 bln, including €43.3 bln in humanitarian aid and €57.6 bln in military assistance. Russia has repeatedly warned that supplying weapons to Kyiv will prolong the conflict.
