Sources told media the slide deployed due to operator error. Under procedure, a deployed emergency slide must be removed and sent for repair; the slide was subsequently dismantled and taken away. The aircraft is a Boeing passenger jet gifted to Trump by Qatar last year and has been used by him since July.
