CHINA will travel to New Delhi on Sept 12-13 to attend the 18th BRICS leaders' meeting at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Modi, the foreign ministry spokesman said.

Sept. 10 — China's Foreign Ministry said it will work with Latin American and Caribbean countries to build a fair and reasonable global AI governance framework. The ministry called for openness, inclusivity, shared benefits and ethical use, and warned that closed, exclusionary "small circles" or geopolitical manoeuvring would hinder technology development in the Global South. China said it aims to promote AI that benefits people in all countries.

At a Sept. 10 State Council Information Office briefing, CSRC Vice Chairman Li Chao said the regulator will accelerate the development of top-tier investment banks and investment institutions, stressing functional roles and urging firms to focus on core businesses, strengthen governance, pursue differentiated development, enhance comprehensive capabilities and professional services, and cultivate a healthier industry and investment culture.
