Beijing, Sept 10, 2026 — The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Electronic Information Department held a symposium to coordinate electronic components industry work for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It ordered baseline industry reviews and technical-roadmap analysis to define development priorities and refine policy support, and urged a systems-based approach with stronger cross-sector coordination, expanded foundational research, and joint action by industry associations, research institutes and key firms to drive coordinated, high-quality development of the electronic components sector.
