vessels. BDI declined 99 points (-2.73%) to 3,521. Capesize index (BCI) dropped
278 points (-4.3%) to 6,122; capesize daily earnings fell $2,522 to $52,016
(around 150,000 dwt; typically carries iron ore and coal). Panamax index (BPI)
slipped 5 points (-0.2%) to 2,409; panamax daily earnings fell $41 to $21,684
(about 60–70,000 dwt; typically coal or grains). Supramax index (BSI) rose 9
points (0.5%) to 1,713. Handysize index (BHSI) rose 9 points to 931.
