Russian President Putin has arrived in India for a three-day visit, Russian media reported.

Freddie Mac said U.S. mortgage rates rose to 6.76%, the highest since June 2025.

At a Sept. 10 State Council briefing, State Administration of Foreign Exchange deputy director and spokesperson Li Bin said cross‑border investment and financing in China is likely to remain active during the 15th Five‑Year Plan, with external assets and liabilities expected to expand and their composition to further improve. He noted global current‑account surpluses and deficits are mirror images; recent years have seen expanding, highly concentrated surpluses, but country distribution adjusts with changes in global industrial division of labor and is expected to diversify. Li added that China’s current‑account surplus funds are being deployed abroad through real‑economy and financial investments, supporting a more balanced domestic investment profile and the development of partner countries’ industry and financial markets.
