Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney met visiting Ukrainian President Zelenskiy
in Calgary on the 10th and agreed to cooperate to expand military drone
production, announcing a series of new deals. Ottawa will build a national
digital platform for military drones modeled on Ukraine’s "Brave One" platform
to accelerate R&D, procurement and deployment of drones and counter-drone
systems and to secure supplies for the Canadian Armed Forces and Coast Guard.
Canada has signed initial procurement contracts worth CAD 50 mln (about USD
36.15 mln). The two sides also signed a Canada‑Ukraine Century Partnership
Declaration and a joint declaration to deepen defence and security cooperation.
