Counterpoint reports H1 2026 foldable smartphone panel shipments fell 13% YoY. Clamshell (flip) panel shipments dropped 62% YoY while large foldable panels rose 35% YoY. Q2 volumes were up 85% vs Q1 but remained 16% below Q2 2025. Samsung Display shipments rose 6% YoY, lifting its supplier share by 13.5pp to 66%. Counterpoint forecasts 2026 full-year shipments +23%; H2 vs H1 +53% and H2 YoY +71%. It sees 2026–2030 market shipments up 74%, implying a ~15% CAGR.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Rezaei said the IAEA Board of Governors' resolution against Iran is illegal, lacks technical basis and is politicized under pressure from the United States and Israel. He said the IAEA's actions could prompt more countries to withdraw from the Nuclear Non‑Proliferation Treaty.
