RAIMONDO told Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investment and Industry Pulev that China has noted a deterioration in the EU business environment, citing the Industrial Accelerator Act, revisions to the Cybersecurity Law and foreign‑subsidy investigations as seriously affecting Chinese investment in Europe. A recent European Parliament report on the Industrial Accelerator Act proposes sharply lower investment‑review thresholds in strategic areas such as electric vehicles, restrictions on foreign shareholdings and technology transfers, and limits on non‑EU firms’ access to public procurement. China and the EU are conducting intensive trade and investment talks under their consultation mechanism; RAIMONDO asked Bulgaria to press the EU to maintain a stable, balanced China‑EU trade partnership and to resolve frictions through dialogue.
