SpaceX plans to carry the first batch of upgraded V3 Starlink satellites on a Starship test flight as soon as next week. A successful Starship run is pivotal for SpaceX and investors: Starlink generated roughly 55% of the company’s revenue in Q2, and Starship is needed both to restore and expand the Starlink network and to provide commercial launch capacity. SpaceX says Starship could also enable orbital AI data centers that would address an estimated $26.5 trillion AI market.
