Oracle (ORCL.N) said it will add about $700 million to its 2026 restructuring plan after Aug. 31 to reflect additional actions it expects to take.

Liz Miller, founder and president of Summit Place Financial Advisors, said markets largely expect the Fed to raise rates next week and she assigns a high probability, but a further tightening is "fundamentally unnecessary" given overall economic stability. Miller said she wants to hear the Fed's deliberations—some Fed officials favor preemptive action to push inf back to 2%—and recommended monitoring whether rising oil prices pass through to core inf and whether core inf begins to ease.
