Meituan data shows Shanghai cultural and tourism bookings rose 15% YoY over the past week. Top non-local source cities were Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The most-booked attractions were Shanghai Disney Resort, Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Shanghai Happy Valley, Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park and Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort.

Beijing, Sept 7, 2026 — Vice Finance Minister Liao Min attended a China–World Bank Group Global Center for Ecosystems and Transitions seminar themed "From Vision to Action: Restoring Natural Ecosystems to Promote Prosperity." Liao urged the World Bank Group and other multilateral development banks to scale up finance, technology and knowledge support for ecological protection in developing countries, and said the Global Center should act as a knowledge‑sharing platform and provide more global public goods.
