OpenAI founder Altman said the company will not go public this year and he does not expect an IPO in 2026, saying substantial safety work remains. His comments follow an Anthropic employee resignation and stern warning about AI capabilities. Markets had anticipated large IPOs from OpenAI and Anthropic this year; Altman’s statement shifts near-term IPO timing pressure onto Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who on Saturday urged a slowdown in AI development.

Sultan Al-Arada, a member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and governor of Marib, said government forces that withdrew from the western coast are regrouping in Marib and will return to the battlefield.
