ANTHROPIC has signed a six-year, $13.7 billion compute agreement with Rum Group, a social-media-linked company with long ties to the Trump administration that hosts Truth Social and streams official White House broadcasts. The deal is ANTHROPIC’s latest amid a wave of cloud contracts with major providers including Google and SpaceX and smaller suppliers such as Nscale, driven by surging demand for Claude Code and Cowork. Those agreements total at least 14,800 MW of compute capacity and could cost up to $517 billion over the next 10 years; the Rum transaction will increase that total.
