Market sources: Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have rejected Korea Electric Power Corporation's (KEPCO) proposal requiring them to prepay power bills to help finance grid upgrades serving new-technology industrial clusters.

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy said on social media that Russia launched about 2,100 drones against Ukraine this week, many of them Shahed loitering munitions. Recovery work is ongoing in many western regions after the nighttime strikes.
