House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries said on Sunday he did not rule out
pursuing impeachment of Trump if Democrats retake the House in November. If
Democrats win a majority in January, current top Democrats Jamie Raskin and
Robert Garcia would chair the House Judiciary and Oversight committees and lead
the accountability effort. Jeffries highlighted three early priorities:
repealing Trump-era tariffs on trading partners, pressuring the administration
to end U.S. military action against Iran that has lasted more than six months,
and restoring Affordable Care Act subsidies that lapsed earlier this year.
