China’s defense minister Dong Jun met Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Khamlieng in Beijing on the 14th. Dong said the Chinese military will work with its Lao counterpart to implement the important consensus reached between CHINA and Thonglieng, deepen high‑level military contacts, and boost practical cooperation across fields to support construction of a new‑era all‑weather China‑Laos community and jointly maintain regional stability. Khamlieng said Laos is willing to strengthen high‑level and multi‑level military communication and advance pragmatic cooperation across sectors.
