The Baltic Dry Index (BDI) slid for a third straight session, down 62 pts
(-1.77%) to 3,445, its lowest since Sept. 2, driven by weaker rates for larger
vessels. The Capesize index (BCI) fell 168 pts (-2.8%) to 5,912; Capesize daily
earnings dropped $1,517 to $50,119. The Panamax index (BPI) eased 14 pts (-0.6%)
to 2,393; Panamax daily earnings fell $122 to $21,540. The Supramax index (BSI)
rose 6 pts (0.4%) to 1,725 and the Handysize index (BHSI) gained 2 pts to 942.
