The attack follows Trump’s Monday comment that Ukraine and Russia agreed not to target each other's energy infrastructure. Russian strikes have recently expanded to Kyiv's fuel stations; in recent months Russia has hit roughly 300 fuel stations, mainly in and near frontline areas. President Zelenskiy said Monday Kyiv would support a US proposal for a ceasefire limited to energy facilities only, provided Washington can ensure Moscow is genuinely prepared to halt operations.
