CHINA FOREIGN MINISTER met ASEAN Secretary-General Lim Jock Hoi in Beijing on the 15th. China said it regards ASEAN as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy, noting the 5th anniversary of their comprehensive strategic partnership and the 35th anniversary of dialogue relations, and pledged continued support for ASEAN unity and community-building while expressing willingness to work with ASEAN to build a closer China–ASEAN community of shared destiny. Lim said ASEAN is willing to share opportunities, meet challenges with China, deepen practical cooperation across sectors and push China‑ASEAN ties to a higher level.
