U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Saudi Arabia’s East–West oil pipeline — shut after a drone attack by Iran-aligned militants — was a "brief, temporary interruption" and is expected to resume within days. Saudi suspended the line and boosted some exports via the Strait of Hormuz to offset; the U.S. is providing support. Satellite imagery indicates a pump station may be severely damaged; Andy Lipow of Lipow Oil Associates said repair could take months based on public images. Kpler commodities head Matt Smith estimates a one-month closure could remove roughly 120 mln barrels of supply, assuming about 4.5 mln bpd affected and roughly 15 mln barrels of inventory at Jubail.
