Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a Sept. 17 briefing that on
Sept. 16 Wang Yi met in Beijing with Brazil presidential chief special adviser
Amorim, who handed Wang a letter from President Lula to Xi. Guo said that under
the strategic leadership of both heads of state, China‑Brazil relations have
advanced from a comprehensive strategic partnership toward a community with a
shared future, and that Xi and Lula keep close communication, reflecting
high-level political mutual trust.
