Japan's finance minister Katayama said she will review budget requests and limit debt issuance to levels that secure market confidence.

At the morning close, China's commodity futures main contracts were mixed. Lithium carbonate rose over 4%, rapeseed meal gained more than 3%; container shipping to Europe and plywood climbed over 2%; soybean meal advanced about 2%; asphalt, 20‑grade natural rubber and Shanghai lead were up over 1%. On the downside, SC crude fell nearly 3%; benzene and styrene (EB) dropped more than 2%; paraxylene, fuel oil and apples declined about 2%; LPG and pulp slipped over 1%.
