Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) said 2026 trading suspensions for Mid‑Autumn and National Day will be: markets closed Sept 25–27, 2026 (Fri–Sun); reopen Sept 28, 2026 (Mon). Markets closed Oct 1–7, 2026 (Thu–Wed); reopen Oct 8, 2026 (Thu). Sept 20, 2026 (Sun) and Oct 10, 2026 (Sat) are weekend closures.

HSBC strategist Daragh Maher said in a note that if high energy prices underpin market expectations of rate hikes across the G-10, the US dollar could strengthen. He added that currency moves would depend more on each economy’s sensitivity to energy-price shocks than on interest-rate expectations; the US’s relative energy self-sufficiency and resilience versus import-dependent economies, notably the euro area and the UK, would likely favor the dollar in that scenario.
