Sept 17 — Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow views the U.S. passage of
a new sanctions bill targeting Russia as an unfriendly act and that its
implementation would complicate efforts to seek a peaceful resolution in
Ukraine. He said Russia is monitoring the bill's details. The U.S. House on Sept
16 passed the measure targeting Russia and Iran and sent it to President Trump
for signature. The bill, titled the 2026 Lindsey Graham Sanctions Russia and
Iran Act, cleared the Senate in August.
