Japan's Nikkei 225 futures widened gains, up 1.67%.

At midday close, China’s most-active futures were mostly lower. Shanghai crude (SC) fell nearly 10%; coking coal dropped about 8%; coke declined more than 5%. Fuel oil, PET flakes, LPG, p-xylene and short fiber slipped over 4%. On the upside, Shanghai silver rose nearly 4%; palladium, Europe-route container freight, platinum and Shanghai lead gained over 2%; Shanghai tin, egg futures and international copper were up about 2%.
