The CPIA PV‑Storage Applications Committee said PV and storage revenues are
shifting from upfront capex to full‑lifecycle value as new energy participates
fully in market trading. Members said the storage industry has entered a
value‑realization phase and called for market mechanisms that reflect
system‑level value and liquidity. To address damaging homogenous price
competition, the committee urged a comprehensive value‑evaluation framework and
accelerated development of PV+storage system standards to steer firms toward
value competition. It flagged compute‑electricity coordination as a source of
new energy demand scenarios, noted Chinese exporters are shifting overseas
strategies from hardware sales to tech, service and ecosystem export models, and
said the after‑sales market is extending toward integrated energy services.
