Russian President Putin said he expects Russia's budget deficit to reach about 2% of GDP by 2026.

At an investor event BYD reported 1H 2026 revenue of 344.8 bln yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of 12.3 bln yuan. Q2 net profit rose 30% YoY and gross margin reached 18.9%, a near one-year high. Management cited a rising share of overseas sales and higher mix of high-end, higher-value models as positive margin drivers, and said vertical integration and scale manufacturing continue to offset raw-material volatility.
