Baker Hughes reported U.S. energy firms added drilling rigs for a second consecutive week.

The State Council Food Safety Office issued a notice instructing local food and drug safety offices to prioritize holiday food-safety risk prevention and urge departments, platform operators and food producers to bolster controls and fulfil safety responsibilities. It mandates integrated online/offline supervision and stepped-up inspections focused on high-consumption holiday items — rice, flour, cooking oil, meat, eggs, milk, mooncakes — as well as seasonal and temperature-controlled foods, and increases oversight of bulk edible agricultural product sales.
