U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States is "easily winning" the war
with Iran and asserted Iran will not obtain a nuclear weapon. He said Americans
may need to tolerate higher gasoline prices to prevent Iranian nuclearisation
and suggested public opinion would favour stopping Iran over preventing
fuel-price rises. Trump predicted the conflict will end soon and gasoline prices
will fall thereafter, possibly below pre-conflict levels. He added that without
U.S. use of B-2 bombers against Iran, Iran "might already have" a nuclear
weapon.
