On Sept. 19 local time, Turkish foreign minister Fidan said, in response to questions on clashes between Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi movement, that Turkey will not accept Saudi being drawn into the current US‑Iran confrontation and that Saudi does not intend to be pulled in. He added recent attacks on Saudi territory, sovereignty and infrastructure have been serious and that proposals to end the fighting have been conveyed to the parties.
