Research firm Touzhong Jiachuan: In August 2026 China M&A market disclosed 455 deal plans; 217 deals disclosed values. Total disclosed transaction value was 122.995 bln yuan, up 84.73% MoM and down 59.42% YoY. The increase ends a four-month decline in deal value and reflects a marked rise in single-deal size.

Monitoring ahead of the Mid‑Autumn/National Day holidays shows rising air fares and demand in China. On Sept. 20, popular long‑haul and homebound routes had already posted large increases: the lowest listed fare for Oct. 7 Urumqi→Shanghai reached 3,070 yuan, about 99% above the 1,540 yuan lowest fare for Sept. 24 Shanghai→Urumqi. Shenzhen–Chongqing also shows pricier returns: Sept. 24 Shenzhen→Chongqing lowest fare 1,010 yuan; Oct. 7 Chongqing→Shenzhen lowest fare 1,450 yuan, roughly 44% higher.
