Night session opened: major Chinese futures contracts mostly higher. SHFE copper and LME copper up >1%; glass, SHFE tin, pulp and benzene near +1%. On the downside, Shanghai crude (SC) fell >2%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), synthetic rubber, propylene, ethylene glycol (EG), fuel oil and LPG down >1%.

Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi will stop in Doha before traveling to New York to attend the 81st UN General Assembly, Iranian sources said on the 20th. Qatar's foreign ministry spokesman Majid Al‑Ansari said Doha is communicating with both the United States and Iran to push for resumption of negotiations; multiple U.S. officials have told Qatar they want a deal to end the conflict. Qatar said it has exchanged views with both sides in recent weeks but gave no timetable for restarting talks.
