TrendForce's latest panel-industry study says surging AI demand is crowding out upstream materials capacity, lifting TV-panel total costs 4–7% QoQ in Q4 2026. At the same time downstream customers face higher costs and seasonal stocking ended in Q3, so TV-panel unit demand is forecast to fall 4% QoQ in Q4. BOE, TCL CSOT and HKC have implemented production cuts over the National Day holiday; October Gen-5+ fab utilization is estimated to drop 4.2 percentage points MoM to 79.6%.
