Oil futures fell for a fourth straight session as optimism that Saudi Arabia's
damaged east–west pipeline will be repaired quickly and progress in efforts to
restart U.S.-Iran talks eased supply concerns. CENTCOM Vice Admiral Cooper said
shipping volumes through the Strait of Hormuz over the past two weeks were the
highest in six months. WTI crude slid 3.8% intraday to $96.49 a barrel; Brent
fell 3.1% to $100.65 a barrel.
