US President Trump posted on social media saying warnings that AI will kill or
attack people are alarmist and likened them to past climate alarmism. He
declared Whoever wins AI wins and said he will not "kill" AI development over
such concerns, arguing AI will have greater impact than the Industrial
Revolution or the internet. He said the administration will be cautious and rely
on the Justice Department and other law enforcement to constrain AI where
necessary, but otherwise will encourage AI, including superintelligence (SI).
