An institutional source said some insurance firms have received implementation notices and may have begun buying Southbound Stock Connect ETFs, with other insurers potentially to follow. Market participants say insurance inflows could broaden the Southbound ETF investor base, add long‑term liquidity, lift market activity and reinforce Hong Kong’s role as a cross‑border asset allocation hub.
